Sooner or later every storyteller has a story they just have to tell. This is mine. I started working on this story after finishing Biff and even created characters and just started animation when I inadvertantly erased the computer directory the files were in. I hadn't made a backup. You kids out there - ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR WORK.

Two films later I reworked the script another 4-5 times and out it came. The idea comes from seeing so many parents who over-control their kid's lives. I think it cripples a kid's ability to tackle life's challenges.

I used Adobe Illustrator to design the characters and After Effects to create the marbled look of the fabrics. I animated in Moho using a cutout style that I think works well with a fable.

I had a lot of fun thinking up the various sock washing methods for the contestants. Ask yourself who should win the contest if each child succeeds at their endeavor without outside help.

Because there are so many characters, I had to get outside help with the voices. My cast came through for me and really add to the personality of the characters.

I didn't submit this to too many festivals and it only had one acceptance but I had to make this film regardless.
